ALL KNOWING JUDGE

This day O lord, bring before you those involved with reformation of offenders. We pray that they will be able to see that prisoners CANNOT be turned into commodities for corporate profit; being made cheap labour at the expense of the unemployed working class. Give us the grace O Lord to realise that it is the duty of ‘THE STATE’ to reform an offender albeit ENGAGING THE COMMUNITY IN DOING SO. Open the eye of our heart to see that prisoners are HUMAN SOULS and not gold or silver or any commodity for that matter and that THERE IS AN ALL KNOWING JUDGE WATCHING.

“Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.” (Acts 10:34-35).

The Greatest Gift

We pray this day O Lord, for comfort to those in distress; we pray that you will open the eye of our heart to see how much other people’s lives are affected by the choices we make. Empower us O Lord to ever have love as the base of the decisions we make; and teach us to love like you love.

The Greatest Gift

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13)

O Lord, Heal Our Land

.

This day O Lord we bring before you again, all those who are involved in the buying and selling of our food, we hold before you those who buy, often in ignorance of the hardships facing those who produce and even more devastatingly, those who bet on the livelihood of growers and their families; who make un-needed profit from starvation of other human souls .

“Hear this, you who swallow up the needy,
And make the poor of the land fail,
Saying:
“When will the New Moon be past,
That we may sell grain?
And the Sabbath,
That we may trade wheat?
Making the ephah small and the shekel large,
Falsifying the scales by deceit,
That we may buy the poor for silver,
And the needy for a pair of sandals—
Even sell the bad wheat?”
The LORD has sworn by the pride of Jacob:
“Surely I will never forget any of their worksShall the land not tremble for this,
And everyone mourn who dwells in it?
All of it shall swell like the River,
Heave and subside
Like the River of Egypt.”
(Amos 8:4-8)

Lord, Heal Our Land

This day O Lord, we bring before you all those who are involved in the buying and selling of our food, We pray that You will open the eye of their heart to see the need for equity and fairness in their dealings; and more importantly the consequences of cheating others of the hard earned products of their harvest.

And if you sell anything to your neighbour or buy from your neighbour’s hand, you shall not oppress one another. According to the number of years after the Jubilee you shall buy from your neighbour, and according to the number of years of crops he shall sell to you. According to the multitude of years you shall increase its price, and according to the fewer number of years you shall diminish its price; for he sells to you according to the number of the years of the crops. Therefore you shall not oppress one another, but you shall fear your God; for I am the LORD your God. (Leviticus 25:14-17)

O Lord, Heal our Land

O Lord, this day we bring before You all those who are involved in the production of our food from growing, proccessing, marketing, distribution etc. We pray this day O Lord that You will open the eye of their heart to know you, that as Apostle Peter said:

“Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.” (Acts 10:34-35).

Abiding In Jesus – Hear and Venture In

Oba aseyiowu (Unquestionable God)

O Lord Jesus, if and when You bid us, and engage to lift and keep us there in You, we pray that You will, multiply The Father’s glorious riches in You our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ unto us and fill us with the knowledge of The Father’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; so that; so that we will be able to venture, even if trembling, but trusting, to say: Jesus, I do ABIDE in Thee. – Amen

In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. Isaiah 6:1-3

The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. (Psalm 46:11)

Abiding In Jesus – listen and obey

Alawo tele orun (The one who is so full of light)

O Lord Jesus, our blessed Saviour, we pray that You will continually speak to us and when You do, let each of us hear Your blessed voice. We pray that You will multiply The Father’s glorious riches in You our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ unto us and fill us with the knowledge of The Father’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; so that even the feeling of our deep need will constrain us to listen and to obey, as often as You speak: “ABIDE in me.” Let day by day the answer from our heart be clearer and fuller: “Blessed Saviour, I do ABIDE in Thee. ” – Amen

“The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD” (Jeremiah 33:11).

The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. (Psalm 46:11)

Abiding In Jesus – A Place of Enablement

Eyin ni alagbala itura (The owner of the palace of comfort)

O lord open our eyes to see that You have prepared for us an abiding dwelling with Yourself, a place where we can count on You to work in and through us; a place where we enjoy unbroken communion with Yourself and are enabled to rely on the work of the Holy Spirit and acquire a good understanding of the centrality of the spiritual life – the centrality of You our Lord and Saviour in us.

Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. Isaiah 42:5-8

The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. (Psalm 46:11)

Abiding In Jesus – As a mother bears her feeble child.

Eleyinju Imole (The one with the eyeballs of Holiness/Light)

O Lord engrave Your word “Learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart,” on the tablet of our heart that we may always be assured that Your gentleness in humility would meet our every need, and You bear us as a mother bears her feeble child.

What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time. For while they be folden together as thorns, and while they are drunken as drunkards, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry. There is one come out of thee, that imagineth evil against the LORD, a wicked counseller. Thus saith the LORD: Though they be quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more. For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder. And the LORD hath given a commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image: I will make thy grave; for thou art vile. Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off. Nahum 1:9-15

The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. (Psalm 46:11)

Abiding In Jesus – Unbroken Communion

Eleyinju Imole (The one with the eyeballs of Holiness/Light)

O lord open our eyes to see that You have prepared for us an abiding dwelling with Yourself, where our whole life and every moment of it might be spent, where the work of our daily life might be done, and where all the while we might be enjoying unbroken communion with Yourself.

ABIDE in me, and I in you. As the branch …cannot bear fruit of itself, except it ABIDE in the vine; no more can ye, except ye ABIDE in me. John 15:4.

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. Isa.54:17

The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. (Psalm 46:11)
